Finding and Checking out Books

Law Library Catalog

Interlibrary Loan

If you need an item that is not available on campus, the Law Library will borrow it for you from another library using Interlibrary Loan (ILL). Use the links below to find out more about ILL, and to make a request.

Media Collection

The library offers a variety of media in support of the curriculum. Unless otherwise, noted, all materials are located on reserve at the Circulation desk.

Video: Instructional

The law library holds a large number of instructional DVDs (and VHS in cases where that is the only available format) on a wide variety of legal topics. To locate titles, search the Law Library Catalog by entering search terms and selecting video as the format.

Audio: Study Aids and Instructional

The library has a collection of instructional CDs and study aids on a variety of subjects. To locate titles, search the Law Library Catalog by entering search terms and selecting audio as the format. Audio study aids are located in the Reference Room.

Legal Film Collection (DVD)

This collection is located in the lobby. DVDs may be checked out for two weeks.

Reserve Materials - Status Update

Batelle Labs has been testing library materials to determine how long COVID-19 survives. On June 22, they released results that concluded that after 3 days the virus was no longer detected on books and DVDs.  The law library will be putting a process in place that will quarantine all library materials for a minimum of 72 hours after they have been handled.

Unfortunately, the need for a 3 day quarantine means that materials will not be available at the Circulation Desk for students to borrow as in the past.

  • Textbooks will not be available. For publisher discounts, please check the page below.
  • Print study aids will not be available. All of the law library's print study aids, with the exception of the Aspen Student Treatise series, are available electronically. See the page below for more information.
  • Power cords, laptop tables, etc., will not be available.
