Rule 16.6(f) in the 22nd edition of the BlueBook (2025) addresses the citation of digital newspapers. The Rule states:
Online newspapers may be used in place of print newspapers. Cite to the online source directly in accordance with rule 18.2.2. Pagination can be included if available but is not necessary. If the time of posting is available, include it in the parentheses in accordance with rule 18.2.2.
The sources below are useful for locating various local and national newspapers from around the country.
Lexis contains legal and law-related documents, including federal and state cases, statutes, regulations, administrative rulings, legislative histories, legal newspapers and journals, and looseleaf services. This database is available only to current CUA Law students, faculty and staff.
Law students have access to 25 additional Proquest databases through the Mullen Library. These include newspapers, dissertations and theses, and Proquest Research Library. Off campus access requires you to enter your CUA Network login.
