This guide describes services for CUA Law Alumni.

Introduction

Welcome! This guide is for all Catholic University Law alumni, including recent alumni, who retain certain privileges for a short period of time. Please contact csl-ref@cua.edu with any questions.

Information for Recent Graduates

Law graduates retain full Law Library privileges through July 31 of the year in which they graduate:

  • CUA I.D. access to the law library
  • Ability to reserve student study rooms
  • Ability to check out books from the Stacks for 4 weeks (after July 31, the loan period is 2 weeks)
  • Ability to check out books from Bar Prep and Academic Skills collection (continues past July 31)
  • Access to certain databases - please see the information below for access to specific databases.

CUA Law Alumni Access Policy

CUA Law alumni are welcome to use the Law Library during the hours listed on the Law Library's homepage. Please email csl-ref@cua.edu so that someone is available to let you into the Law School. Requests are accepted Mon-Thurs, 10am - 6pm, Fri 10am - 5pm.

Borrowing Books

CUA Law alumni are welcome to borrow circulating books from the Law Library collection. Please contact csl-ref@cua.edu to request a CUA Law Library Borrowing Card.

Please note that the Law Library's collection contains primarily of research materials which do not circulate.  Single-volume books which are not updated in any way (by pocket part or by looseleaf pages) can be checked out.

Law alumni may check out books for 2 weeks with one renewal, for a total of 4 weeks.
