The Law Library staff will be distributing free Bluebooks to all incoming 1Ls on Wednesday, August 14th as part of orientation. The distribution will occur in the Law School Atrium during the morning registration period (9am - 10am). Students who are unable to attend orientation can stop by the Reference Desk of the Law Library at a later date to pick up their free copy.
The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (20th ed.) is the most widely adopted style manual for legal citations, and is used both in law schools and legal practice throughout the United States.
Whether you are a 1L or an upper class law student, you can still benefit from taking advantage of the many online study aids offered by the Law Library. Currently the Law Library subscribes to two online study aids platforms; West Academic Online Study Aids, and WK Online Study Aids. These two services cover a wide variety of legal subjects, and include the most popular titles such as Gilberts, Emmanuels, Examples & Explanations, Short & Happy Guides, Nutshells, Hornbooks, etc.
More information on using the online study aids, including downloading the apps and streaming audio versions is available in our Library Guide to Study Aids.
