Audio Visual & Media Services for Students: Introduction

Introduction

The Media Services Department is located in room 235D of the Reference Room and in 224B (located in the circulation department). Reservations are required for most equipment and services. See the Available Services & Equipment tab for more information.

The Law School does not have sufficient staff to record classes for every student who is unable to attend classes. The Law School will record classes for a student only when an absence is due to a serious illness, family emergency, or similar event, such as observance of a religious holiday, class conflicts caused by make-up classes, jury duty, or military obligation.

To have a class session recorded by the Media Services Department, professors must send approval DIRECTLY to Media Services for that specific class. We suggest you email your professor for approval and cc stack@law.edu and luce@law.edu.

NOTE: Making and using law school class and presentation recordings is regulated by the Rules of Professional Conduct for Law Students (IV.C.8).
